Keppel Sakra Cogen EIA Report

The Keppel Sakra Cogen Project is a 600MW state-of-the-art, advanced combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant located in the Sakra sector of Jurong Island. Upon completion, the Keppel Sakra Cogen Plant will be the first hydrogen-ready power plant in Singapore, with the most cutting-edge and highest energy efficiency.

An assessment of the potential environmental impacts associated with the construction and installation of the CCGT is provided in this Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for reference. The feedback period for the environmental impact assessment report is closed. We have carefully considered all feedback received. A summary of the response to the feedback is published below.

Safety is a core value at Keppel's Infrastructure Division and we adhere to three main health, safety, and environment (HSE) golden rules:

  • Share a Safety Moment – Promotes interactive and two-way communication culture on HSE
  • Gear Up for Safety – Individuals, as a last line of defence at the point of work, should stop, identify, assess and mitigate hazards before proceeding
  • Stop Unsafe Work – Everyone is empowered to prevent an incident; Promotes inter-dependency and looking out for one another

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve safety, create safer working conditions, and manage environmental responsibilities, Keppel's Infrastructure Division’s subsidiaries are certified in accordance to the ISO 45001 on Occupational Health and Safety, as well as the ISO 14001 on Environmental Management.
