Mr Chow Yew Yuen is the Chief Executive Officer of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) since 1 February 2014.
Mr Chow has been with the company for more than 30 years and first joined Keppel FELS in 1981 as a Project Engineer. Over the next decade, he worked in various departments and rose through the ranks to become yard manager of Keppel FELS in 1990.
In 1993, he was seconded to be President of Keppel AmFELS in Brownsville, Texas, and in 2004, he was made President of Keppel O&M USA. During his 18 years in the US, he was instrumental in establishing Keppel O&M as a credible competitor in the Americas and helped set the foundation for Keppel O&M's current standing as the preferred solutions provider. His experience covers areas of technical, production, operations, commercial and management across different geographical and cultural boundaries.
He was appointed President of the Americas for the Keppel O&M Group in 2008 overseeing the development of Keppel's businesses in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.
In June 2011, Mr Chow came back to Singapore to be the Managing Director of Keppel O&M and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in March 2012.
Mr Chow also serves on the Board of Keppel O&M and holds Directorships on the Board of several Keppel subsidiaries including Keppel FELS, Keppel Shipyard, Keppel O&M Technology Centre, Keppel Infrastructure Holdings and Keppel Energy. He is also Chairman of Keppel Singmarine, Keppel AmFELS, Keppel O&M USA and deputy Chairman of Keppel FELS Brasil.
Mr Chow has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He has attended the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. He is a member of The American Bureau of Shipping, Vice President of Association of Singapore Marine Industries, Council Member of Singapore Accreditation Council and a member of ABS Southeast Asia Regional Committee.
